SHARK S8X PLUS

The Avmatrix SHARK S8X PLUS is a complete, mobile video production system that allows you to mix, record, and stream up to 8 video and audio sources. It is specially designed for live productions, streaming studios, and hybrid events. It features a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS display, multiple inputs, advanced streaming capabilities, and PTZ control, all in a rugged, portable chassis.


Video inputs and outputs

• Video inputs: 6 x 3G-SDI, 2 x 4K HDMI, 1 x BNC REF, 1 x AUX (internal interface).

• Video outputs: 4 x SDI, 1 x HDMI multiview, 2 x HDMI PGM (configurable).

The latest addition to Avmatrix's Shark series, it offers a wide range of video input connections. It has 6 SDI inputs and 2 SDI or HDMI inputs (supporting 4K). It also includes a REF input and 7 flexible outputs, consisting of 2 HDMI and 4 SDI in program mode, as well as an HDMI multiview. The main program output is also available via USB for PC capture and via RJ-45 for direct streaming. These options offer maximum flexibility for connecting various video sources and configuring outputs to suit your needs.


Streaming and recording

• Integrated streaming: RTMP(S), SRT, RTSP

• Local recording: USB, SD card, 2.5" SATA drive

• UVC capture via USB-C: Ideal for integration with external devices

SHARK S8X PLUS offers the ability to stream live to online platforms and record footage for later editing.


PTZ control and automation

• PTZ control: up to 8 cameras with support for Visca over IP, Onvif, and Pelco P/D protocols (depending on model).

• Macros: Record and play back scripts to automate operations.

• GPIO tally: For indicating the active camera.

SHARK S8X PLUS offers a real camera control keyboard with direct access to key functions such as iris, gain, focus, PTZ speed, etc. A Macro mode allows you to automate camera operations during a live broadcast.


Professional audio

• Audio inputs: 2 x XLR/TRS with 48V phantom power, 1 x 3.5 mm stereo input.

• Audio mixing: Up to 10 onboard audio channels.

• Audio outputs: Headphone output, balanced 3.5 mm audio output, and XLR.

Advanced video features

• Video effects: Chroma key, Luma key, DSK, logo overlay.

• PIP windows: 3 customizable windows.
